I’m Robert Ramsey, I work out of our Belmont office, I am vice President.

Thomas Ramsey, my duties are primarily claims related.

I’m Richard Ramsey, I’m President of W. T. Phelan.

Our specialty would be habitational insurance, apartments and condominiums.  We’ve been doing that for 30 or 40 years.

The best thing that we can do is treat our customers and treat our companies with the utmost respect.

When someone comes in, we try to understand what they do, how they do it, and then try to figure out the best way to insure it.

Well, at the end of the day, in insurance that’s ultimately our product.  We want to get the coverage right, coverage amounts, clients needs, be it personal lines or commercial lines.

We work as hard as we can to get the claim covered quickly and make sure the insured is satisfied.

If someone is coming to one of our offices to buy auto insurance, homeowners insurance, umbrella insurance, the people who tend to want our service are people who really want interaction and they want to make sure that if something goes wrong, that they can pick the phone or walk into one of our offices and speak to an owner.

It can be clients who are affluent who try to protect themselves against the eventual estate taxes due, or it can be a young couple who are expecting their first child.

We are going to sit down, and we’re going to really understand exactly who you are, exactly what your family needs are. 

When you even say the word life insurance, sometimes people recoil and take a step back.  I like to just walk you through it at an easy pace and educate them so when they walk out of the office they know they can make a knowledgeable and educated decision. 

My father used to tell us I hope you are all smart enough to cooperate and collaborate and keep the business going for another generation.

We take a great deal of pride in that we are a family operated company and it really goes back to my father and Mr. Phelan.  The key that they transferred to us is just treat people the way you’d like to be treated.

We do try to do what is right by the customer at all times and I think our people realize that and work very hard to try to do what is right by their customers.

We enjoy meeting our clients, we enjoy doing right by our clients.

It is our job to be their advocate and to make their case for them, and in most cases, we prevail.
