All homeowner policies place restrictions on coverage for ‘in-home’ businesses. This varies by insurer and the nature of your business. In many cases an “incidental” business exposure may be covered by a relatively inexpensive endorsement that extends both liability and property coverages to the specific business activity in your home. More intensive business exposures generally require additional coverage in the form of a Business Owner’s Policy or Commercial Package. It is important to contact your personal insurance representative so that we can make a determination as to whether additional coverage solutions are appropriate. |
