WTPhelan acquires the Garrett Insurance Agency of Somerville, MA.

WTPhelan is pleased to announce that we have recently completed the acquisition of the Garrett Insurance Agency of Somerville, MA.  Established in 1985 by Ralph Garrett, Jr. and Ellen Garrett, the agency became an institution in Davis Square. After Ralph’s sudden passing, Ellen managed the agency for a number of years with the assistance of her dedicated employee and local Somerville resident, Judy Sabatino.  In the past year, Ellen made the difficult decision to retire from the insurance business. “I chose the Phelan agency because I felt that they would provide a seamless transition for my valued customers as they represent many of the same companies and provide convenient locations” stated Garrett. 

Judy Sabatino has joined the WTPhelan servicing team in our Porter Square Cambridge branch and will continue to provide the warm and friendly atmosphere which has always been a part of the Garrett Agency’s relationship with their clients.  Going forward, Ellen Garrett will continue as a consultant to the Phelan agency.
