On September 21, co-captains Robert Ramsey, Harry Proudfoot, and Jena Landers led the team, "Caring for Carcinoid: Walking with Jane, Anne and Hank" along the historic Boston Marathon Route. Team members included WTPhelan employees, friends, patients currently in treatment, and members of Dana Farber’s medical team.
"Caring for Carcinoid: Walking with Jane, Anne and Hank" raised over $62,000 in 2014, and targeted their funds to Dr. Matthew Kulke and Dr. Jen Chan’s research and treatment of Neuroendocrine and Carcinoid Cancers at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
After crossing the finish line in Boston, the team gathered at Back Bay Social Club where Dr. Kulke spoke of the progress they are making in diagnosis, treatment and drug development. This is the 5th consecutive year WTPhelan has supported and participated in the walk, and to date, more than $312,000 has been raised for Dana Farber – a truly amazing achievement! These fundraising efforts have helped spearhead the advancement of Dr. Kulke and Dr. Chan’s research.
Thank you for your support. Our annual participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk is our opportunity to do something tangible in the fight to eliminate cancer. Your donations help Dana Farber Cancer Institute pursue it’s mission to save and prolong human life.
