BELMONT, MASS – WTPhelan is proud to sponsor Team Kulke’s Krewe as they participate in the 25th annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Event proceeds will support cancer research and patient care.
On Sunday, September 8, WTPhelan Agency Principal, and Kulke’s Krewe Captain Robert Ramsey will lead his team along 13.1 miles of the historic Boston Marathon route; the event will end at Copley Square where all participants will be awarded a commemorative medal and enjoy food and entertainment.
Kulke’s Krewe has set a 2013 fundraising goal of $25,000 – to date they have raised $22,870. This is the team’s fourth consecutive year participating in the walk, and they target all of their fundraising efforts towards Dr. Matthew Kulke’s work at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Since 2010 Kulke’s Krewe has raised $230,921 to support the doctor’s groundbreaking research and treatment of carcinoid and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. “The team is excited to kick-off the walk for the fourth year,” said team Captain Robert Ramsey. “These days it seems that everyone has been touched by cancer in some way, so it’s comforting to know our collective effort is making a difference right down the road at Dana Farber. We are delighted to have the support of friends, family, and especially the staff at WTPhelan.”
